Terms of Use

1. What IdeaVolve provides

IdeaVolve lets a person publish an original and lets other people add one direct, connected version. A version can include writing, an image, sound, an interpretation, an explanation, a Caption Clash entry, or a public Challenge. Versions do not create another generation during this MVP.

The service is a public Jordan-first beta. Features may change as we learn, but we will not quietly turn illustrative examples into fake community activity.

2. Your account

• Provide accurate sign-in information and protect access to your account.
• Use the service only if you can legally agree to these terms. If applicable law requires permission from a parent or guardian, obtain it first.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account until you report unauthorized access or delete the account.
• Do not impersonate another person or create accounts to evade a block, restriction, or moderation decision.

3. Your content and permission to display it

You keep ownership of content you create. By publishing, you give IdeaVolve a non-exclusive, worldwide permission to host, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, protect, and promote the service. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for limited retained copies described in the Privacy Policy or where the law requires retention.

When you permit versions, you allow other members to create and publicly display one direct version connected to your original. Their version remains theirs; your original remains yours; the connection and attribution remain visible.

• Publish only content you made or have the necessary permission to use.
• Do not upload copyrighted music, images, writing, recordings, private information, or a person’s likeness without the rights or lawful basis needed.
• A song suggestion is not permission to upload that song.
• Do not remove or misrepresent the credit connecting a version to its original.

4. Conduct and public Challenges

Follow the Community Guidelines. Challenge an idea, claim, interpretation, or assumption—not the person behind it. Evidence tools must not be used to harass, expose private information, or overwhelm someone.

Do not manipulate engagement, fabricate community activity, automate spam, probe security, scrape private data, or interfere with the service.

5. Moderation

We may limit, remove, or preserve content; restrict features; or suspend access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect people, investigate abuse, respect rights, or keep the service reliable. Reports are reviewed privately and do not automatically prove a violation.

We aim to make proportionate decisions. Serious or repeated abuse may result in immediate restriction. Use the in-product Report action for safety, privacy, ownership, or copyright concerns.

6. Removing content or your account

You can remove your own creation where that control is offered. Removing an original also makes its connected versions unavailable because they depend on that original. Account deletion hides your authored creations and comments, removes private account relationships, revokes account access, and replaces public identity fields with a neutral deleted-account label.

Security, moderation, fraud-prevention, backup, and legal records may be retained for a limited period where necessary. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Beta availability

IdeaVolve is provided on an “as available” basis during the MVP beta. We work to preserve drafts, links, attribution, and published work, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every device, browser, network, or external share service will always work.

To the extent allowed by law, IdeaVolve is not responsible for indirect losses caused by beta interruptions, member content, or third-party services. Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited.

8. Changes and questions

Material changes will be shown in-product with an updated date. Continued use after a change means the revised terms apply from their effective date.

For a content-specific concern, use the flag on that original, version, or comment. For ownership or copyright, choose “Copyright or ownership” and provide enough detail to identify the work and your relationship to it.
